Whether you are a casual rider or looking for a challenging end-of-the-season route, we have a ride for you! Choose from one of the following, three. Signage along the way will mark each route.
Route 1 – approx. 25km
Starting at the Lunenburg Curling Club (21 Green Street, Lunenburg, NS), you’ll ride towards Mahone Bay along the ocean. At Mader’s Cove, the shore road meets #3 where you will turn back towards Lunenburg and return to the curling club.
Its a flat, scenic route that would be suitable for just about anyone.

Route 2 – approx. 50km
Starting at the Lunenburg Curling Club (21 Green Street, Lunenburg, NS), you’ll ride towards Mahone Bay along the ocean. At Mader’s Cove, the shore road meets #3 where you will turn back towards Lunenburg and continue on to Riverport, up the Lahave River to the Grimm Road and then back to Lunenburg
The route is mainly flat with a few small hills (Okay, one big one as you go onto the Grimm Road
Much of the ride is along the ocean.
This route would be suitable for someone that has some riding experience.

Route 3 – approx. 100km
Starting at the Lunenburg Curling Club (21 Green Street, Lunenburg, NS), you’ll ride towards Mahone Bay along the ocean. At Mader’s Cove, the shore road meets #3 where you will turn back towards Lunenburg and continue on to Riverport, up the Lahave River to Bridgewater where you cross to the west side and continue back down the river to Lahave (a good time to take a break at the Lahave Bakery!), cross on the ferry and back to Lunenburg
If you like to ride, this is a gorgeous one. And the trip on the ferry is a real treat. If you’ve been looking for a reason to ride your first 100K or a way to end your cycling season on a high note, this is the ride for you!
